The three topics that I have chosen as possible action research are as follows:
How are teachers utilizing technology in the classroom and how could they make better use of the resources the district has to offer? Are teachers using the technology training they are receiving to use these devices in their everyday instruction? How can technology be used to get students more actively involved in their education and not just in their social lives?
Does the involvement in the New Teacher Academy and the mentor program at Richardson High help in the retention and success rate of our new teachers? How can my building administrators get more involved in the NTA?
What is the enrollment rate of my former Teaching Internship students to college education programs? What percentage of these students pursues education as their career?

ReplyDeleteLove all three areas. I think the last two are better suited for you as they are very personal and specific to YOU! I think I would suggest running with #3 (not that I have any say) because it is the one most closely aligned with what you do daily, it is the one for which you have the most readily available data adn it is the one dearest to your heart.

GREAT ideas Debbie! I really like the second idea because it is very unique and you have experience from both ends of the spectrum. However, the third one si also great because that's what you are doing now! It's also very unique. Good luck!
